- Get up early and prepare for the day: new bag in the trash can for dirty diapers; crib ready for naps; burp cloths still in use, so need a fresh one by the recliner for feedings; fresh water in the sippy cup; plenty of coffee ready for grandma and toys out and books ready for the day.
- Relearn all nursery rhymes and songs.
- Find ways to encourage eating meals including making funny noises and funny faces for entertainment in order to distract new foods.
- Realizing that the old knees don't work very well so the exercise ball comes in handy.
- Dancing with Emerson is a blast and she loves Zomba.
- Going to the library for Lap Time, music classes and Gymboree for exercising the muscles of a child and grandma too!
- Long walks with a good stroller and pointing out all things that God has made.
- Shopping based on meals and nap times which means...super fast shopping!
- Emerson is a cool child for shopping trips. My best shopping buddy.
- Pointing at everything and looking at ourselves in the mirrors and making faces.
- Wearing exercise clothes all the times because they are comfy and I can stretch and bend while working with Emerson.
- Eating fast and potting fast for grandma.
- Finally realized that the play pen is a great place to put a baby for quick trips to restroom or for cooking a meal for myself.
- My house is one big play room which I love.
- Nap time for Emerson can also be nap time for grandma or quickly do chores that need to be done.
- Can change a diaper in the back of my SUV and have plenty of wipes & diapers for traveling anywhere.
- Know all the restrooms that have diaper changers and are clean.
- Know all the measurements for medication.
- Have a good planner to record all activities.
- Have a porch that has a swing and plenty to see to entertain a baby.
- Decorate the home for the holidays and be child friendly or teach what can be touch or not.
- Finally, have the energy and plenty of love to give my little partner...Emerson!!!!
- I have learned to just have fun every day with Emerson, my grandchild!
- Life is good!
